NEWS!!!

May 9-2013- ToneBlazers experienced an out-of-body experience at Merlefest...complete sensory overload...loved it!!!  Great to talk with old friends and meet some new ones.   The ToneBlazers want to thank all the folks that came out to our performances...much obliged!!! 

February 5-2013- ToneBlazers would like to welcome Jack Lawrence and Jim Ashton to the band.  This addition adds a exponentially increasing new blaze-factor.  Great to have you  aboard...blaze on gentlemen, blaze on!!!

December 10-2012- ToneBlazers are hunkered down for the winter hermit-izing and recording a new album for the 2013 campaign.  Keep your powder dry and see you in the spring.

September 21-2012- ToneBlazers will be aired on PBS's Song of the Mountains Series this Saturday, September 22th at 6:00pm on UNC-TV (PBS).  Tune in and/or record and enjoy the Blazers from your easy chair.

September 6-2012- ToneBlazers just received great news that they have been booked back at the Red, White and Bluegrass Festival and Merlefest for 2013!

September 6-2012- ToneBlazers will be playing the Main Stage of the Historic Morganton Festival this Saturday September 8th at 7:15pm.  Come out and join us.

July-10-2012- ToneBlazers enjoyed meeting all the new and old friends at the Red White and Bluegrass festival and outreach shows.  Also, we spent the 4th of July celebration with the folks of West Jefferson at their Christmas in July festival.  Thanks to all who have served and are serving our great USA!!!

June-18-2012 - Want to thank Dennis Jones and Martin Anderson at WNCW for the most excellent sound and on-air interview! Thanks to Dan and his family at Smoky Mountain Guitar in Pigeon Forge for a great gig and hospitality.  Just finished spending a summer evening of music with the good folks down in beautiful Locust NC.

ToneBlazers are based in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina.  Their repertoire is an Americana mix of their own original material.  The ToneBlazer's performances include Merlefest, Riverhawk Music Festival, Songs of the Mountain (PBS series), King Pup Syndicated Radio, Red White and Bluegrass Festival, Albino Skunk Festival, Plum Hollow Festival, Chomp & Stomp Festival, Hendrick Motorsports,and winning the Charlotte Music Awards in Americana/Bluegrass category.  The ToneBlazers are working on a new 2013 release of original music, due out by Merlefest.

Individually throughout their careers, they have shared the stage or studio with Doc Watson, Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, George Shuffler, Marty Raybon, Alison Kraus, Mark O’Connor, Doug Jernigan, Wayne Henderson, Roy Huskey Jr., Charlie Waller, and Tony Rice, to name a few.
